Video Brief — your analysis, in 60 seconds

On every analysis

On Counsel Grade the Video Brief is generated automatically; on Standard you generate it on demand with one click on the completed analysis.

Not everyone who needs the headline will read the full report. The Video Brief is a short, narrated video — around 60 to 80 seconds — that walks a viewer through the verdict, the key findings, and where the exposure sits, in Evalify's — or your firm's — branding.

What's in it

The Video Brief tells the same story as the report, in the order a busy reader wants it:

  • The verdict. The clearance conclusion — Clear to Operate, Conditional, or Blocked — and the Evalify Score, in the verdict's own colour band.
  • The key findings. The handful of things that actually decide the matter, organized by technical aspect — the critical patents and what they mean for the product. Each finding names the specific reference behind it — publication number, title, and owner — and says whether it's a granted patent or a pending application you're monitoring.
  • Where the exposure sits. Which markets and which aspects carry the risk, so a viewer knows where attention is needed.

It's a faithful summary of the delivered analysis — narration and on-screen text are built from the same findings as the written report, not a separate take on the matter.

Watching it in the app

On a completed analysis you'll see a soft "Watch the Video Brief" prompt. It's optional and dismissable — close it and it stays closed. However you get there, a ▶ replay control keeps the video one click away, and it carries an unwatched badge that clears the first time the brief is played.

Sharing it with a client

Every Video Brief has a branded share link you can send to a client or a colleague. They watch it in the browser — no login, no Evalify account — and it carries your branding, so it lands as a polished summary of the work rather than a raw file. It's the fastest way to give a stakeholder the conclusion without walking them through the whole report.

Getting it

How the Video Brief is created depends on your tier:

  • Counsel Grade — it's generated automatically when the analysis completes; there's nothing to turn on.
  • Standard — it's generated on demand: open the completed analysis and click Generate Video Brief. (On Counsel Grade, that same button re-runs the render on the rare occasion one fails.)

Keeping it current after edits

If you edit the analysis in Review Mode in a way that changes the conclusion — changing a verdict, excluding or re-including an aspect, excluding or re-including a patent, or marking a patent as your own — the Video Brief no longer matches the report, so it's flagged "out of date" with a one-click Regenerate. Regeneration is manual: each render has a real cost, so Evalify never re-renders on its own. Only the analysis owner sees the prompt — a shared or read-only viewer never does.

The flag clears when you regenerate — and also if you undo your edits back to the exact state the current video already reflects, so a change you've reversed never leaves a stale flag.
